We are our own county. We are not England, we are Australia. We speak with Australian accents and use the Australian dollar and barrack for the Australian cricket team. Why is the head of state a foreigner?

It is beyond any doubt that we are independent, as it is now beyond any doubt whatsoever that the Governor-General is our Head of State. (See Quadrant , July August 2002: "The Head of State debate resolved.")
